Facility Tours – for groups
Ever wondered what happens to your recycling when it leaves your yellow lid bin?
Midcoast Waste offers locals schools and community groups the chance to find out by touring the local Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) located at the Tuncurry Waste Management Centre.
Tours can be tailored to fit any age or interest group and are run free of charge by appointment.
Facility Tours – for individuals
Every month we hold a open session for individuals and small groups that aren’t big enough to be considered a group.

Presentations for Schools & Community Groups
Can’t make it to the MRF? – our Education Officer can provide presentations and workshops to promote recycling and other waste practices for schools and community groups.
Presentations can be tailored to suit any age or interest group and include information from the following topics:
- What goes where in the three bin system
- Reducing waste
- Composting and worm farming
- Dealing with problem wastes
Sessions can be tailored to any age group, size and time period depending on your needs.
